SOS lets you backup as many computers as you need using one account. With SOS, all of the PCs in your business are simply managed; no juggling multiple accounts! And because we don't charge you a separate amount for each PC, SOS is the most affordable way to back up your business.

Deploy backup clients and policies to the individual PC's on your network. With SOS Online Backup's Pulse ™, you can centrally deploy a backup client to the remote PC's on your network - a function typically available only in expensive, enterprise applications.
The Pulse distribution system lets you build customized installers on demand, right from the Pulse portal, that are pre-configured with the backup account, and backup set and backup schedule you need.
Pulse works with all major deployment frameworks to let you seamlessly customize, build and distribute online backup technology across the network, and have it set-up to your custom business requirements. You can easily maintain multiple client deployments to manage different networks, and build new deployment kits on demand.
Push Updates
Keeping all the machines you're protecting up-to-date with the latest backup technology has always been a challenge. Now with Pulse you can view on-demand information about all your deployed online backup installations, access version information, and distribute patch updates out to all connected nodes.
Pulse itself is constantly being improved, and will update itself automatically from the Pulse Management server, making it easy to make sure that all your connected devices are running the latest version of Pulse, and the latest version of SOS's core online backup technology.
Backup health management has always been difficult, particularly in large environments with many domains and many connected machines. Pulse automates the entire backup health monitoring process, by constantly monitoring the performance, and status, of the backup jobs that are scheduled on the client PC's.
Pulse's automatic error detection means that you can rely on Pulse's reporting module to give you on-demand and real-time visibility to any problems that connected client machines are having backing up, or connecting to the backup cloud.
Pulse gives you instant access to detailed information about backup health, with data on backups that have run, backups that failed to run, backups that might have had problems during the backup session, and extremely granular data on errors that have occurred during backups, which can help you resolve issues as they arise.
View Backup Events
Pulse keeps a detailed event log of events occurring on both the client machines being managed and on the Pulse server. Filter and customize reports by event type, and leverage the powerful filter capabilities of the Pulse reporting engine to get the data you need.
The Pulse system tracks the entire application lifecycle for your deployed backup clients, including logging information about software installation and uninstallation, backups that ran successfully, backups that ran with errors, backups that failed to occur, as well as tracking server-side events such as backup policy creation & application.
Check out the screenshot below to see all the different event types you can use in your reports.
Track User Accounts
One of the more common tasks in supporting a large network of connected PC's that are backing up to the cloud is user account management. Pulse streamlines the process by giving you a central view of all your deployed user accounts, letting you track which accounts are deployed on which machines, and what events & backup sessions have occurred on a per machine or per account basis.
The Pulse system also gives you visibility into space used for each account (either by showing you the data at the user level or at the machine level) as well as detailed information about the backup events that have occurred for a given account (check out "View Backup Events" for more information on the types of events that Pulse can detect & manage).
Get Backup Exceptions
One of the most common reporting tasks a backup administrator faces is getting information on backups that failed to run or have encountered problems during execution. Pulse provides real-time access to backup exception reports, allowing you to filter all event reports by error level. Pulse supports three error levels for low, medium and fatal error conditions, and lets you customize your reports based on error type or level.
Access information on backups that failed to run, backups that ran with errors, and file-level information about the files that had issues during backups all from one easy interface. Pulse also retrieves detailed error logs from the client PC that had the problem, and stores them centrally for you to analyze and respond to. You can have exception reports emailed out to you or multiple contacts within your organization, and if you can't resolve the issue, push the exception data directly to SOS Support to help you resolve the issue encountered.
Configure your own, customized backup policy. SOS is the only solution that allows you to create customized backup policies and rules - according to the individual needs of your environment.
Configure up to 100 different policies to apply to your backup deployments, allowing you to create policies for different networks, users, and machines, and even apply several different policies to a particular machine.
The Pulse policy management system is an extremely powerful tool for managing large backup deployments, either all within one location or across multiple distributed locations.
Policies are applied intelligently to clients and can be partially applied if the client machine cannot fully comply. All Pulse managed devices check-in with the Pulse server once an hour to ensure that they're using the most up-to-date policy applicable to them, meaning that you can confidently deploy a policy, and then change it as needed.
By default Pulse comes with common policies for laptop fleets, LAN connected workstations, file servers & email servers, but you can easily customize these policies or create new ones on demand to meet your requirements.
Set Backup Intervals
Customize the backup interval and time slots. Assign backup intervals based upon the times that align with your specific needs.
