Yes, SOS offers a complete rebrand that has around 1200 points of customization. There are additional features and tools that can be rebranded as well like our vulnerability scanner and branded mobile application. If you prefer, we also provide a powered by SOS co-brand.
SOS takes the look and feel of the brand you have developed or are creating, and integrates that into our software. Your customers will not know your offering is run by the SOS Online backup engine unless you tell them. We are not simply taking a logo and putting it on top of our software, we are integrating you brand into the software.
There are different programs, but generally we do not work in a straight percentage model, rather a more profitable wholesale model.
SOS will always support your efforts. Our full-rebrand partners typically prefer to perform first-level support to retain account control, and utilize the SOS Support team in the background. SOS can work directly with your customers if you desire, although as a matter of practice we would only do that if directed to do so.
Yes, our partners have the ability to enlist the SOS CES (Complex Environment Support) team on a per engagement basis.
The process really depends on the customization involved, but can be as fast as 7 business days.
Yes, however, most of our partners find that they achieve better conversion rates by leveraging their own brand and existing customer relationships. In our partnerships, we prioritize you and your business, not SOS and SOS’s brand. We’re here to help you succeed in the online backup market. Another popular option is to launch a branded offering that is “powered by SOS”, which enables flexibility with how you position the service on a customer-by-customer basis.
SOS provides a billing system for you. We have 3 billing solutions.
- The most common billing solution is where SOS bills you, the partner, and you are responsible for billing your customers. This model is preferred by the majority of SOS partners.
- SOS also has an e-commerce facility that you leverage which will bill your customers directly, and SOS will remit payment to you.
- SOS has a rich billing & account management API that you can use to build your own custom billing solution, or integrate with your other systems (such as a CRM or user database). This last option is popular among ISV’s and companies that already have automated billing systems in place.
Every case is different, but many of our partner make at least 30% margins, with a chance at much deeper profits. An important thing to understand in answering this question is that the SOS Partner program allows you to set your end-customer pricing and does not tie you to any retail price points.
